We are one of the few law firms in India with vast experience in aviation, airports and aerospace laws. Work in this area includes the negotiating, drafting and vetting of code-share, aircraft purchase, software, in-flight entertainment equipment and payment gateway facilities agreements.

We assist private airline companies in obtaining approvals from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. The firm regularly advises airlines on international aviation Treaties and Protocols.

Our firm has been involved in negotiating and drafting contracts for the purchase of 68 commercial aircrafts valued at US$ 7 billion.

In March, 2008, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) appointed M.V. Kini & Co. as the sole Legal Advisor to assist them in all legal matters pertaining to the city-side development of four non-metro airports - Amritsar, Udaipur, Trichi and Vizag- which is being undertaken through Public Private Partnerships. Our firm is advising the AAI on all legal matters associated with the successful conduct of the bidding process and execution of the Concession Agreement with the selected bidder.

We assisted the Sabena Flight Academy, Belgium, with their project to establish an International Aviation Academy at the new airport, Hyderabad, as a joint venture between Sabena Flight Academy, Belgium and GMR-HIAL; a joint venture company promoted by GMR Infrastructure, the Malaysian Airports Holding Berhad, the Airports Authority of India, and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
